Plan and Book

Milwaukee. Brew City. Cream City — whatever you choose to call it, Wisconsin’s biggest city is a force to be reckoned with. Loaded with delicious food, incredible museums, exciting nightlife, and more cheese and beer than one can possibly imagine, it’s time to start narrowing down your Brew City bucket list.

In the Historic Third Ward neighborhood, it’s easy to get lost in the city’s vibrant and lively arts scene. Here you’ll find more art galleries than you can count on one hand, plus institutions like the Milwaukee Ballet and live performances at the Broadway Theatre Center. The “revitalized warehouse district” is also home to the Third Ward Riverwalk and the Milwaukee Public Market, full of local foods and brews.

To rev up your trip, stop by the Harley-Davidson Museum to learn the ins and outs of motorcycle life, then fuel yourself up on a serious cup of joe at Fuel Coffee, a hip motorcycle-themed bar and cafe in the Walker’s Point neighborhood. In this area you can also enjoy popular restaurants like Black Sheep MKE, serving a diverse menu of American favorites, or The Noble, a small restaurant with a rotating menu that locals swear by.

Of course, no trip to Wisconsin is complete without loading up on pounds of cheese — the state’s famous for it, after all. The move here is a hefty plate of cheese curds, and there are a few tried-and-true places to find them. Beer-battered curds are perfectly paired with an in-house beer at Lakefront Brewery and at Safehouse, a spy-themed bar and restaurant, you don’t need a detective to tell you it’s a crime to skip the white cheddar cheese curds.

And then there’s the beer. With more than 30 breweries in the area, it’s safe to assume that IPA fanatics, the wheat obsessed, and every taste in between can find something they’ll love. Milkshake IPAs take the cake at Eagle Park Brewing while City Lights Brewing’s nitro coconut porter and hazy IPA are equally adored. Classic beer fans can take a tour of the PBR Brewery, which created the iconic beer back in 1844.

All that — and there’s more. Be sure to visit the Instagram-worthy Milwaukee Art Museum; the Basilica of St. Josaphat, modeled after the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Basilica; and kid-friendly Discovery World, full of hands-on activities and science exhibits.

Milwaukee is chock-full of adventure and the perfect place to fly for your next getaway.
